Xi Jinping’s Meeting with Cuban President Díaz-Canel-News-壹米教育（Yimi Edu）

On the afternoon of August 23, local time, President Xi Jinping met with Cuban President Díaz-Canel during the BRICS Summit in Johannesburg.

Xi Jinping pointed out that with Cuban president’s successful state visit to China last November, we reached broad consensus on continuing to deepen China-Cuba relations in the new era and agreed to work together to build a China-Cuba community with a shared future.

Xi Jinping emphasized that the "G77 and China" is an important cooperation platform for developing countries. As the host country of this year's "G77 and China", Cuba has made positive contributions to strengthening the unity of developing countries.

Diaz-Canel said that I paid a successful state visit to China in November last year, and both sides are conscientiously implementing the important consensus we have reached. Cuba-China relations are currently at a record high. Cuba is willing to cooperate closely with China to promote the success of the "G77 and China" summit.
